Before we start, I want to make a comment on our present health care issue. There is so
much pros and cons that people don't know what to think.  The politicians don't even know
the entirety of the plan, and most have not even read it.  The first President Bush had the
right ideas, he said the health care plan should be eating right and exercising.  He didn't
mention the fast food restaurants that have ruined this country's health.  The soft drinks
with chemicals like aspartaine and other additives.  Look at the ingredients on the
packages of food you buy, it is difficult to even pronounce all the chemicals in them.  This
is how doctors make most of their money from fat lazy junk food junkies. But wait, as they
say in the commercials.  You can be trim happy and healthy like me.  Just follow my tips
and be a little humble about it, when you get healthy.

This is the beginning of weekly Health tips at this site,   I would like to start off with my Bio.
My name is James Gerke, I am 75 years old. I don’t have a degree in any of the health
professions, or working in that field, as I am retired. I don’t do this for any monetary gain,
but only to help people.

The opinions and suggestions of mine are given only from my own experience. You
should consult with your family doctor before taking my advice. The only education I have
in the health field is the experience in the things that I have tested, which will be written here.
I do not shun Doctors or put all trust in homeopathy. The main thing that I have advocated,
is eating healthy, exercise, & shunning chemicals, except the ones that your Doctor says
will keep you alive.                                                            
I believe that most anyone can reverse health problems with prayers to our creator, a  very
positive mental outlook on life, proper eating habits, & some exercise. This may not be for
people who are in the last stages of a disease, who give up, and are waiting to die. The
Doctors call it a miracle when some people in those situations do survive
.
Many believe that to be healthy you have to give up all the things that you enjoy in this life.
As far as food is concerned, it’s not what you eat occasionally, but what you eat everyday
that counts. I myself, eat ice-cream once a week. Common sense would tell you that if you
had high cholesterol, to wait till you have it in check before eating high fat foods
.
My resting blood pressure is 100/60 and my cholesterol is very low. I have never had any
of the major illnesses.I have very slight cataracts in my eyes which are normal for my age.
I don’t notice it, and I don’t need glasses to read. I had a hernia operation 5 years ago, It
was possibly from shoveling to much dirt. I have all my hair, and teeth, minus 2 wisdom. I
give the Lord all the credit for leading me to this healthy lifestyle and for the results. The
next week’s tip will be about manufactured vitamins, versus vitamins in food. Log on to my

I'm very late getting this out, as I have been setting up new websites and my
Web- master Jared Swanson has been doing a terrific job. Now back to Health,
that everyone wants the best of. I have a little joke I shock people with,
"Anything that taste good, is bad for you."

I just say, it's the health nuts motto. We know that isn't true, there are more
food than you can count that's good tasting and is good for you. This topic is
about vitamins, manufactured and natural vitamins that are in unprocessed
foods.

Some of my knowledge about vitamins is from Dr. Dean Adell on radio. His
parents owned a company that manufactured vitamins and what better sources
of information can you get. Since I listen to him quite often,     

I can not count the times he has said that manufactured vitamins are no good,
in those very words.
Not only are they no good: they are bad for you. If you are taking
medication, for a condition, especially for the heart, it may kill you.

Manufactured vitamins are chemicals which are not evaluated by the FDA. They can
conflict with the meds. They did a blind study of 180,000 people that took vitamins with the
ones that didn't. The people that took no vitamins lived an average of 4 years longer, and
they didn't know why. The main way to get your vitamins daily is by good food, and I
promise I will be commenting on that in a week. Thank you for clicking on to this site. I

What is the difference between chemical And natural vitamins?  The question is
answered.  One is chemical and the other is natural.  Why would we want to eat food that
has natural vitamins.  When we can just pop a pill and get the same thing.?  The reason is,
vitamin pills do not have complete vitamins like natural foods do. Each food has its own
complete vitamins.  Let's take an orange that has high concentration of vitamin C, a
cucumber will not be equal to that. The best way to get all your vitamins is to eat a variety
of foods.  If you have a food blender, you can mix vegetables and fruits together. There
are other supplements that you can add, such as brewers yeast, sunflower seeds, and so
on. This is very handy for breakfast in the morning. You can even mix it up at night and
have it ready for you in the morning. If you have a 64 ounce container, like Vita Mix has.  
You can fix two portions and have half of it for breakfast, and half of it for lunch. Since I
have this site running smoothly now.  I will have my complete recipe that I eat in the

                                            Breakfast of champions

To start, the base would be 2 cups of any liquid that you want, I myself use skim milk. I
add 1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables a cup of spinach & cup of broccoli. A small handful
of blue -berries a small handful of sliced peaches, four or five strawberries, four or five
cherries, all of these are frozen. Frozen foods are easy to keep and they don't go bad on
you. You can use any variety you want either fresh or frozen.  I add seven almonds and a
small handful of walnuts.  One heaping tablespoon of brewer's yeast, the same of tumeric
& chea. 2 Table spoons of sunflower seeds, 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal, 1/2 sheet of
Nori seaweed, 2 tablespoons of arctic cod liver oil, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1
tablespoon of black Strap molasses. 2 large tbs. yogurt. To top it off four or 5
tablespoons of honey, running over. I put it in two 32oz yogurt containers for 2 days of

other things are more important. If you
change your eating habits, get some
exercise and people started calling you
a health nut. You are on the right track.
